STEMIE Website and Branding

A world of possibilities

Context & Audience
STEMIE supports educators and professionals working at the intersection of STEM and inclusive education. The site needed to communicate credibility while remaining approachable and accessible.

Problem / Goal
The challenge was balancing institutional branding requirements with clarity, usability, and accessibility for a broad audience that includes educators, researchers, and community partners.

My Role
I contributed to branding decisions, website structure, and content presentation, working within existing institutional systems and accessibility standards.

Challenges & Decisions

  • Designing for a diverse audience with different technical comfort levels
  • Ensuring accessibility while maintaining visual identity
  • Working within constraints of a university web environment

Outcome & Impact
The final site presents a clear, consistent identity and improves content discoverability while aligning with accessibility best practices.

Reflection
This project reinforced how branding and accessibility are not competing priorities — they are mutually reinforcing when done intentionally.
